"I've married the most romantic man in Hollywood! It's as if he stepped right out of the pages of a romance novel to capture my heart!"

"Growing Pains" mom Joanna Kerns made that emotional declaration to a close friend after she and her live-in love Marc Appleton said "I do" in a picture perfect Malibu wedding.

"They were married at a friend's oceanfront home on September 30," the star's spokesman Jim Broutman told The ENQUIRER.

"Joanna's dress was created by Carolina Herrera out of white satin and pearls. As she walked down the aisle with her father, David de Varona, she carried a lovely bouquet of white roses."

Joanna's maids of honor were her daughter Ashley and her Olympic star sister Donna de Varona Pinto. March, who wore a traditional black tux, had his son David and pal Thomas Bortolazzo as the best men.

The couple said their vows in front of "ER" producer John Wells, who got a minister's license just so he could perform the ceremony.

They exchanged simple gold bands, then enjoyed a Greek wedding feast, followed by a three-tiered wedding cake decorated with roses. And during the reception Joanna and Marc enjoyed a breathtaking sunset over the Pacific.

Guests included Joanna's "Growing Pains" family- Alan Thicke, Tracey Gold and Jeremy Miller. Kirk Cameron wasn't there because he hasn't remained close to her, said her friend.

But even though her TV son was missing, it was still a perfect day for the 42-year-old actress and her new husband, a 50-year-old architect.

"I feel as if I've waited my whole life for this day," Joanna told her close friend.

The actress, whose first marrige ended in divorce, met Marc four years ago. After their first date- on Valentine's Day 1991- he courted her in some of the most romantic cities in the world, including Paris, London and Madrid.

And on the day he proposed, Marc hired a skywriter to put their initials inside a big heart of smoke.

"Marc represents everything I've always wanted in a man- honesty, integrity and a passion for living," Joanna told her close friend. "We're determined to make our marrige last forever."
